<p>We set out to explore the efficacy and safety of Ivermectin in persons infected with COVID Methods: We conducted a translational proof of concept PoC randomized, double blind placebo controlled, dose response, parallel group study of IV efficacy in RT - PCR proven COVID 19 positive patients. Das Ergebnis ist ein flammendes Plädoyer für den breiteren Einsatz des antiparasitären Arzneimittels, dem hochwirksame antivirale und entzündungshemmende Eigenschaften gegen SARS-CoV-2 und COVID zugeschrieben werden. Bei der fieberhaften Suche nach potenten COVIDTherapeutika, die zudem schnell für die Behandlung verfügbar gemacht werden könnten, rückte Ivermectin im April des letzten Jahres verstärkt in den Fokus des Interesses.</p>
